UB Prospect Mailer held by a student sitting at the Baird Point columns.

When the good folks at White Bicycle reached out for some collaboration on a new prospective student mailer for the University at Buffalo, I couldn’t pass up an opportunity to work on a flagship piece for my own alma mater. This project reimagines an existing 30-plus-page viewbook in a way that makes sure the UB experience – and the piece itself – stands out. The result is a streamlined booklet (weighing in at about half the length of the original) that delivers a powerful rallying cry via a die-cut, embossed replica pennant. The anthemic “Let’s Go” channels a familiar regional chant and exudes the energy of confidently answering the question so often asked in a soon-to-be college student’s life: “So, where are you going to school?”
